Purpose-built 14 FHD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 pairs a 14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 display with an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor and 8GB DDR4 memory. A new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe drive supplies the primary storage. The system ships without an operating system so the buyer installs their preferred platform.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under continuous load the dual-core CPU can reach a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency while the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles visual output. The 8GB DDR4 configuration across two slots leaves room for expansion up to 16 GB maximum supported memory. Thermal management balances performance with the thin chassis during extended sessions.

NVMe PCIe interface limits

The M.2 NVMe PCIe drive delivers solid-state responsiveness for boot and application loading within the constraints of the platform's PCIe lane allocation. Integrated graphics share system memory rather than providing dedicated video RAM. The laptop targets mobile professionals who need a 14.0-inch form factor with FHD clarity and no pre-installed OS overhead.

Questions about this item

Does the i5-6300U at 2.40 GHz with 3.00 GHz turbo and Intel HD Graphics 520 run quietly during long work sessions?

The dual-core processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 are designed for low-power operation in a 14.0 inch ultrabook chassis, so fan noise stays modest during typical office workloads.

What must I supply myself because the laptop ships with no operating system?

You need to provide a Windows licence or another OS installation media, plus any drivers you prefer, since the unit arrives with a blank 1 TB NVMe drive.

Will my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work if I want to expand the 8 GB up to the 16 GB maximum?

Yes, the system uses standard DDR4 memory and has two slots total, so compatible SO-DIMMs can be added to reach the 16 GB limit.
