Mobile workstation for travel

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB M.2 solid-state drive. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 suit professionals who need a portable Windows 10 machine for office applications and client meetings.

Durable chassis with versatile ports

A slim black chassis meets Grade B cosmetic standards, meaning keys, touchpad or exterior surfaces may show wear while cracked parts have been replaced. Three USB 3.0 ports, full-size HDMI and a mini DisplayPort handle monitors, projectors and peripherals without dongles. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 wireless give reliable wired or wireless connectivity in hotels or offices.

Ready-to-use kit with upgrade headroom

The box includes the laptop, charger and battery so the system works immediately. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed and a Windows 11 Pro upgrade path is noted. An SD card reader simplifies file transfer from cameras. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB for heavier multitasking, while the 1TB drive provides substantial local storage for documents and media.

What are the chassis dimensions and screw pattern for mounting this 14.0 inch Latitude?

The E7470 uses Dell’s standard 14 inch ultrabook chassis with bottom-case Torx T5 screws and a single 2.5 inch drive bay occupied by the M.2 SSD.

How do I install the Windows 11 Pro upgrade on this Windows 10 Home unit without losing the SSD?

Run the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft, choose Keep personal files and apps, and let the in-place upgrade preserve the 1 TB M.2 drive.
