Latitude E7470 14" HD laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is installed.

Mobile professionals needing a lightweight 14-inch

This unit suits buyers who want a compact 14.0-inch business laptop with an Intel Core i7 6th Gen CPU, 8GB of RAM and a fresh 240GB NVMe SSD ready for their own OS installation. It is not for users who require a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel than 1366 x 768, discrete graphics, or more than 16 GB of total memory.

240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD

The single specification that decides fit is the 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. It provides solid-state speed in the M.2 form factor using the NVMe protocol, so buyers must ensure their workflow and any recovery media support NVMe boot. The drive is new and the only internal storage in the system.

Questions about this item

What does the 2.6 GHz base and 3.4 GHz turbo on the i7-6600U mean for everyday workloads?

The dual-core processor runs at 2.6 GHz normally and can boost to 3.4 GHz for short bursts, so office apps and web browsing stay responsive while heavier tasks get extra speed when thermal headroom allows.

How fast is the M.2 NVMe PCIe drive compared with older interfaces?

The 240 GB SSD uses an NVMe PCIe interface, giving much higher throughput than legacy AHCI drives for faster boot and application loading.

Can I add more memory and what is the physical limit?

The laptop has two DDR4 slots and supports up to 16 GB total, so you can add an 8 GB module to reach the maximum.
