Dell Latitude E7470 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch business laptop with a 1600 x 900 HD+ non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor at 2.20 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB DDR4 memory and a new 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Sustained performance with Iris 540 graphics

The Intel Iris Graphics 540 integrated GPU handles general productivity and media playback without a discrete graphics chip. Under sustained load the dual-core processor maintains clocks within its thermal envelope for typical office workloads. The 8GB DDR4 memory supports multitasking across browser tabs and business applications. The 1TB NVMe SSD keeps read and write speeds consistent during long file transfers.

Simple memory upgrades and clean software start

Two memory slots allow expansion up to 16 GB total capacity for users who need more RAM. The M.2 NVMe drive is accessible for storage upgrades without major disassembly. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit arrives ready to use with no bloatware to remove. Buyers who want more storage than 1TB or a touchscreen display should consider other models.

Questions about this item

How hot or noisy does the Core i7-6650U get when the Latitude E7470 runs all day?

The dual-core processor reaches a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency under load; typical office work keeps temperatures moderate and fan noise low, while sustained heavy tasks will raise both.

What RAM and storage does the E7470 already include so I know what I do not need to buy?

It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory installed in one of two slots and a 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD, so no additional memory or drive is required for immediate use.

Can the Intel Iris Graphics 540 drive an external monitor at 1600 x 900 alongside the built-in 14.0" HD+ panel?

Yes, the integrated Iris Graphics 540 supports multi-display output, allowing an external screen at 1600 x 900 or higher while the internal display remains active.
