Questions about this item

Is the 16 GB DDR4 memory soldered or can a failed stick be swapped?

The laptop has two DDR4 slots and supports a maximum of 16 GB, so a faulty module can be replaced with a compatible DDR4 SO-DIMM.

Will the Core i7-6650U throttle at its 3.40 GHz turbo during long workloads?

The dual-core processor has a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency; sustained heavy loads will trigger thermal management that reduces clocks to stay within the cooling limits.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis become when the system runs all day?

Under continuous use the cooling fan spins up to move heat from the CPU and Iris 540 graphics, producing noticeable airflow noise and warm surface temperatures on the keyboard deck.
