Genuine Dell OEM replacement part

This genuine Dell OEM LCD video ribbon cable carries part number MYX32 and is built for the Dell Vostro 5590 and Inspiron 5590 laptops. It restores the display link on machines equipped with a 15.6 inch FHD panel. Installers receive exactly the component shown in the product imagery.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive flexible circuit the cable draws no power and generates no heat or acoustic noise during normal operation. It simply transmits the video signal between the motherboard and the 1920 x 1080 display without adding thermal load to the system.

Behaviour under sustained load

The ribbon maintains a stable video connection during extended use because it contains no active electronics that could throttle or degrade over time. Signal integrity remains consistent whether the laptop runs a short burst or a prolonged workload on the 15.6 inch FHD screen.

Questions about this item

How do I install the MYX32 LCD video ribbon cable in my Inspiron 5590?

Route the flat ribbon through the hinge channel exactly as the original was seated, press each connector firmly until it clicks, and avoid creasing the cable when closing the lid.

What maintenance or replacement will the MYX32 cable need later?

The cable itself has no service interval; it only needs replacement if the ribbon is kinked, the connector pins are bent, or the display shows persistent flicker or artefacts.

What is the first limit that appears under sustained use of this FHD ribbon cable?

Continuous hinge cycling can fatigue the ribbon at the fold point, leading to intermittent signal loss on the 1920 x 1080 panel before the connectors themselves wear.
