Meeting-room projector for small teams

The Dell M409WX is a DLP business projector built for conference rooms and portable presentations. It delivers 2000 ANSI lumens at a native 1280 x 800 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Weighing 2.6 lbs and measuring 2.85" x 8.07" x 6.10", it fits on a table or mounts on a ceiling. Connectivity includes HDMI and VGA inputs plus wired network control.

Brightness and resolution for lit rooms

The 2000 ANSI lumen output combined with a 2000:1 contrast ratio determines whether text and graphics stay readable under office lighting. Native 1280 x 800 matches common laptop outputs, while maximum supported resolution reaches 1080i. The medium throw lens produces images from 27.30" up to 359.40" diagonal, covering typical meeting-room screen sizes.

Fan noise and power in daily use

The lamp has logged few hours with over 50 percent of its rated life remaining, and both lamp and filter have been cleaned to maintain brightness and reduce thermal load. In normal operation the unit runs at typical DLP projector noise levels for a 2000-lumen class. Power draw follows standard business-projector profiles; no built-in speakers are present, so external audio is required for sound.

Questions about this item

How bright will 2000 ANSI lumens look in a typical conference room?

At 2000 ANSI lumens the M409WX produces a clear, readable image in rooms with moderate ambient light, suitable for presentations and video playback without needing total darkness.

What does the HDMI Standard port actually support on this projector?

The HDMI Standard input accepts signals up to 1080i, so full 1080p sources will be scaled to the native 1280 x 800 resolution or displayed at 1080i.

Will the 2.85 x 8.07 x 6.10 inch chassis fit on a standard ceiling mount bracket?

Yes, the compact 2.85-inch height and 2.6 lb weight are well within the load and dimensional limits of most universal ceiling mounts designed for business-class projectors.
