Refurbished business laptop

The DELL E7470 with part number NE5-31028 is a refurbished 14.0-inch notebook graded B for cosmetic wear. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit on an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor at 2.40 GHz with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. The 1366 x 768 display and internal speakers complete a unit built for office tasks.

Upgrade from older dual-core systems

This model replaces ageing laptops that struggle with modern 64-bit workloads and slow mechanical drives. The jump is worth it when daily work demands a solid-state boot drive, 8 GB of RAM and a supported Windows 10 environment for current business applications.

Sustained office workloads

Under continuous use the dual-core Skylake chip handles document editing, web sessions and video calls without thermal throttling in typical office conditions. The 256 GB SSD keeps swap operations fast while the 8 GB memory ceiling limits heavy multitasking or virtual machines. Buyers needing more RAM or a higher-resolution screen should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0-inch chassis of this E7470 fit a standard 14-inch laptop sleeve?

The 14.0-inch display diagonal matches common 14-inch sleeve sizing, but the Grade B body may have dents or scuffs that add slight bulk, so measure the actual unit before buying a tight-fitting case.

What is the correct order for a clean Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit reinstall on this dual-core i5-6300U system?

Boot from USB installation media, select the 256 GB SSD as the target drive, let Setup partition it automatically, then complete the out-of-box experience before installing drivers.

When will the 8 GB of soldered memory in this Skylake laptop need an upgrade?

The 8 GB is fixed on the motherboard and cannot be expanded; if workloads exceed that capacity later, the only option is replacing the whole unit.
