The lightweight chassis at 2.61lbs fits easily into a bag, freeing desk space and reducing carry weight. Grade A cosmetic condition means minimal signs of previous use.

Replaces older business laptops

This unit upgrades from machines with slower dual-core CPUs, less memory or mechanical drives. The jump is worth it when daily workloads involve multiple office applications, large spreadsheets or frequent travel. Buyers who need a touchscreen, dedicated graphics or a larger screen should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What sustained workload first hits the thermal limit on the Intel Core i7-7600U in the 12.5" chassis?

The 2.80 GHz dual-core processor will throttle under prolonged multi-threaded loads such as video encoding or large compiles because the ultra-portable cooling system cannot dissipate heat indefinitely.

How loud and hot does the DELL 7280 get when left running all day?

Fan noise stays low during typical office tasks but rises to a noticeable whine under continuous load; the magnesium chassis warms to the touch on the underside and near the hinge after several hours.

Which docking solution does the HDMI port on this 7280 require for dual external monitors?

The single HDMI 1.4 output drives one external display; a second monitor needs a USB-C dock or adapter that carries DisplayPort alt-mode, which the laptop’s USB-C port supports.
