Fully rugged convertible laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is a fully rugged convertible laptop built for field professionals who need a device that survives harsh conditions. Its magnesium alloy chassis meets MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certification and withstands a six-foot drop. The 10.1-inch sunlight-viewable touchscreen rotates and folds flat to switch between notebook and tablet modes. A digitizer pen is included for precise input.

Passive cooling with low power draw

The single-core Intel Core i5 processor running at 2.5GHz operates without a fan, keeping the system completely silent during normal use. Low thermal output means the exterior stays cool even during extended operation. Power consumption remains modest, allowing the included adapter to charge the unit efficiently. The 500GB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 memory generate minimal additional heat.

Magnesium alloy chassis with integrated connectivity

The sealed magnesium alloy case protects internal components from dust and water jets while providing structural rigidity. Integrated Verizon 4G LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit LAN ensure connectivity in remote locations. The sunlight-viewable LED panel reaches high brightness for outdoor readability. A hand strap and lightweight design support comfortable one-handed use in tablet mode.

Questions about this item

How do I install the digitizer pen and what step do people miss?

Insert the digitizer pen into its dedicated silo on the chassis until it clicks; the step users miss is calibrating the 10.1-inch 1024 x 768 XGA touchscreen in Windows 10 Pro pen settings before first use.

What maintenance will the 500GB hard drive and DDR3 800 memory need later?

The 500GB HDD will eventually require replacement when SMART warnings appear or performance degrades; the 4GB DDR3 800 memory (2 GB x 2) is not user-upgradable beyond the factory configuration.

What limit appears first during sustained field use?

The 2.5GHz single-core Core i5 (MK5) thermal envelope is the first limit under sustained load, triggering throttling before the MIL-STD-810G/IP65 chassis or 6000-nit sunlight-viewable LED display reach their limits.
