Precision 7710 Workstation Laptop

The Dell Precision 7710 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 on an Intel Core i7-6820HQ quad-core processor at 2.7 GHz. It comes with 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD in a gray chassis. The non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution. Integrated graphics handle the video output. The package includes the laptop, battery and AC adaptor.

Suited For Office And Field Work

This unit suits professionals who need a large screen, quad-core performance and 32 GB of memory for business applications, multitasking and legacy Windows 10 software. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card for GPU-accelerated workloads should look at other models. Users wanting a touchscreen or a lighter ultraportable form factor will not find those features here. The integrated graphics limit 3D and video-encoding performance.

Integrated Graphics Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the integrated graphics configuration. If your workflow relies on a discrete GPU for rendering, compute or multiple external displays, this laptop will not meet the requirement. For general productivity, office suites and web-based tools the integrated graphics are adequate. Choose based on whether your software demands a dedicated graphics processor.
