The Dell OptiPlex 5080 Micro is a compact business desktop built around an Intel Core i7-10700T processor. Eight cores and 16 threads at 2.0 GHz with 16 MB cache deliver responsive performance for office applications and multitasking. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 256 GB NVMe SSD. The 35 W processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 suit environments where space and power draw are limited.

This unit provides two DisplayPort connectors and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for video; there are no HDMI, VGA or DVI ports. Adapters or specific cables are required for older monitors. Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports handle peripherals. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi are included. No optical drive, keyboard, mouse or speakers are supplied. The micro chassis restricts internal upgrades to M.2 storage and memory slots.

Sustained workloads within 35 W envelope

The 35 W CPU maintains base clocks during extended compute tasks without the thermal spikes seen in higher-power chips. Integrated graphics share system memory, so prolonged GPU-accelerated workloads reduce available RAM for other processes. Air cooling in the small chassis is sized for the rated TDP; continuous heavy loads will run warm but stay within specification. The NVMe drive sustains write performance until its cache fills, then settles to steady-state speeds.
