Business tower desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 7010 is a business-class tower desktop running Windows 11 Pro. It is powered by a 12-core Intel Core i7-12700 processor with a 4.9 GHz turbo frequency and 25 MB SmartCache. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz and a 2 TB NVMe solid-state drive. A DVD±R/RW optical drive, wired keyboard and wired mouse are also supplied.

Teams needing a managed fleet PC

IT departments deploying standardised Windows 11 Pro workstations with integrated Intel UHD Graphics will find the configuration fits typical office workloads. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card for 3D rendering or heavy video editing should consider a different system. The 180 W power supply and tower chassis support internal upgrades, but the integrated graphics cannot be replaced.

2 TB NVMe boot drive

The single 2 TB NVMe solid-state drive holds the operating system, applications and user data in one volume. Organisations that need a separate high-capacity hard drive for archival storage must add one after purchase. The drive uses the NVMe protocol for fast boot and application load times.

Questions about this item

Does the tower ship with a monitor, keyboard and mouse, or must I buy a display separately?

A wired keyboard and wired mouse are included; the listing states the monitor is not included, so you will need to provide your own display.

Is the 32 GB of DDR4-3200 the maximum this model can take, or can I add more later?

The board supports up to 64 GB, so the installed 32 GB leaves room for a future upgrade if you need more memory.

What does the i7-12700’s 4.9 GHz turbo actually deliver for everyday office workloads?

The 12-core processor hits 4.9 GHz on short bursts, giving snappy response in multitasking, large spreadsheets and video calls while staying within its 180 W power supply.
