Business mini PC for office workloads

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 Micro Plus is a compact desktop built for professional environments. Its small chassis fits tight desk spaces or VESA mounts while running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The integrated Intel UHD 770 graphics drive up to three DisplayPort monitors without a discrete card. Buyers needing dedicated GPU performance or internal expansion slots should look at larger form factors.

Included connectivity and preloaded OS

The system ships with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 13700T processor, 8GB DDR5 memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD already installed. Front ports include one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A with PowerShare and one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C. Rear I/O adds two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A with Smart Power On. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi are both present. No keyboard, mouse or display are bundled.

16-core processor with 30 MB cache

The i7 13700T delivers 16 cores and 24 threads with a 1.4 GHz base frequency and 30 MB L3 cache. This multi-threaded capacity determines how smoothly the PC handles concurrent business applications, virtual machines or heavy spreadsheet workloads. The 8GB DDR5 and 256GB NVMe are user-replaceable but the CPU is soldered, so core count is fixed for the life of the unit.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB DDR5 soldered or slotted memory need upgrading for heavier workloads?

The system ships with 8 GB DDR5; the 16-core i7-13700T supports up to 64 GB so you can add more later if 8 GB becomes a bottleneck.

What limits the i7-13700T during long renders — the 30 MB L3 cache or the air-cooled Micro chassis?

The compact air-cooled Micro chassis is the first limit; sustained all-core loads will hit thermal headroom before the 30 MB cache fills.

How loud and hot does the Micro Plus get when the 16-core CPU runs all day on the included AC adapter?

The small air cooler spins up noticeably under continuous load; surface temperatures rise but stay within Intel spec for the 1.4 GHz base-clock 16-core processor.
