Compact business desktop for office workflows

The OptiPlex 7090 Micro packs an Intel Core i7 10700T 8-core processor, 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD into a mini chassis that fits behind a monitor or under a desk. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and activated so the system is ready for immediate deployment in corporate or home-office environments.

Included connectivity and pre-loaded OS

A single USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports handle peripherals and fast external storage. Dual DisplayPort outputs drive two monitors while Gigabit Ethernet and integrated Wi-Fi provide wired and wireless network access. The supplied AC adapter matches the 35 W processor power envelope.

8 GB RAM and 1 TB NVMe capacity limits

The 8 GB DDR4 configuration handles typical productivity suites, web browsing and light multitasking; heavier virtualisation or large dataset work will require a memory upgrade. The 1 TB NVMe drive offers ample space for OS, applications and local files, though extensive media libraries or multiple VM images may eventually demand secondary storage.

Questions about this item

Will the 8GB DDR4 memory need upgrading later?

The system ships with 8GB DDR4 installed; adding more requires opening the Micro chassis and fitting compatible DDR4 modules.

What limits performance first during sustained workloads?

The 35W Intel Core i7-10700T will throttle clocks before the air cooler or 1TB NVMe SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the Micro get running all day?

The compact air-cooled design spins its fan audibly under continuous load while the 35W processor keeps surface temperatures warm but within spec.
