Compact Business Desktop

The DELL OptiPlex 7010 Micro Plus is a Mini PC built for business environments that need strong compute in a small footprint. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and includes integrated Wi‑Fi and Gigabit Ethernet for network connectivity. The system is aimed at office workloads, thin‑client scenarios and multi‑display productivity setups.

Thermals and Power

Air cooling handles the 13700T processor with its 16 cores and 24 threads under typical office loads. The 1.4 GHz base frequency and 64‑bit architecture keep power draw moderate during everyday tasks. Fan noise remains low in standard business use, and the external AC adapter supplies the required wattage without an internal PSU.

Storage Capacity

A 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD provides the primary storage pool for applications and data. The single drive bay means total capacity is fixed at 2TB unless the drive is replaced. Buyers who need more internal storage or a secondary drive should consider a larger form factor.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2TB NVMe SSD in the 7010 Micro Plus, and what step is often missed?

The M.2 slot is inside the chassis; remove the cover, insert the drive at an angle, then secure it with the screw — the step many miss is enabling the NVMe option in BIOS before cloning or installing Windows 11 Pro.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16GB DDR5 memory need later?

The 16GB DDR5 is soldered and not user-upgradable; if capacity becomes limiting, the only path is external storage or a new system — no DIMM slots exist inside this Micro Plus form factor.

What limit appears first when the i7 13700T runs sustained loads in this Mini PC?

The air-cooling solution in the 7010 Micro Plus reaches its thermal ceiling before the 16-core 1.4 GHz processor hits its power limit, causing clock speeds to throttle under prolonged heavy workloads.
