Ready for office work

This Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower ships new with a 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 processor running at 3.40 GHz and 8 GB of DDR3 memory. A 128 GB solid-state drive holds the operating system while a 2 TB hard drive adds bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and a DVD±RW drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse are included in the box.

Suits everyday productivity, not heavy graphics

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 core supports up to three displays and handles general business applications, web browsing and video playback. Buyers who need dedicated GPU performance for modern gaming, 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated compute should look at a different system because this unit relies solely on processor graphics.

Fits a standard tower build

The Mini Tower chassis provides internal bays for the 2.5-inch SSD and 3.5-inch hard drive plus a half-height optical bay already populated. Four 240-pin DIMM slots allow memory expansion up to 32 GB of DDR3 when the workload demands more than the installed 8 GB. Gigabit Ethernet and integrated audio connect to existing network and speaker equipment without extra cards.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.4 GHz i7-3770 need a separate graphics card to run three displays?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 supports up to three displays through the available video outputs, so a discrete card is not required for multi-monitor use.

Will my existing DDR3 memory modules work alongside the installed 8 GB?

The system uses 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots; matching DDR3 modules can be added up to the 32 GB maximum supported by the platform.

How can I confirm the 128 GB SSD is set as the Windows 10 Pro boot drive?

Open Settings, go to System then Storage, and verify that the 128 GB drive shows the Windows folder and is labelled as the boot device.
