Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower desktop computer is built for office and home users who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro system. It ships with a 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 quad-core processor running at 3.40 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB solid state drive. A DVD±RW optical drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse are included in the box.

Suits everyday productivity, not heavy graphics

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 handles standard business applications, web browsing and multi-monitor output across three displays. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for modern gaming, video editing or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at a different system. The Mini Tower chassis allows internal expansion, but the 128 GB drive capacity limits local storage for large media libraries.

128 GB 2.5 inch solid state drive

The 2.5 inch 128 GB solid state drive serves as the boot and primary storage device, delivering faster start-up and application loading than a mechanical hard drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on this drive. If your workflow requires more than 128 GB of internal space, plan to add a secondary drive or use external storage.

Questions about this item

What DDR3 memory standard does the OptiPlex 7010 Mini Tower use, and what speed does it cap at?

The system uses DDR3 240-pin DIMM modules running at the processor's rated speed; the 8 GB installed is configured for 3rd Gen Intel memory controller limits.

What drive bays and clearance does the Mini Tower chassis provide for adding storage?

The chassis accepts a 2.5" 128 GB SSD in a dedicated bracket and includes a half-height 5.25" bay for the DVD±RW drive; full-height expansion cards fit the standard PCIe slots.

How is Windows 10 Pro activated on this unit, and what step do buyers often miss?

A digital licence is tied to the motherboard firmware; after first boot, connect to the internet once so Microsoft servers can validate the entitlement automatically.
