Small-form-factor business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a slim desktop built around a six-core Intel Core i5 8500 processor running at 3.00 GHz with 9 MB L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe solid-state drive for fast boot and application loading. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives dual DisplayPort outputs and a VGA port for multi-monitor setups. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Check power and peripheral needs

The unit includes a power cord and one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port alongside six USB 3.1 Gen 1 and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports for accessories. Gigabit Ethernet is onboard; wireless networking is not included and must be added separately if required. No keyboard, mouse, monitor or speaker set is supplied, so plan for those peripherals. The small form factor chassis limits internal expansion space compared with full-size towers.

Bundled items and software impact

Only the desktop and power cord are in the box, so no optical drive, wireless card or input devices arrive with the system. Windows 10 Pro provides business features such as BitLocker, Remote Desktop and domain join without extra licences. The NVMe SSD and 16 GB DDR4 are already installed, removing the need for immediate memory or storage upgrades. Absence of a wireless card means a USB or PCIe adapter is necessary for Wi-Fi connectivity.
