Micro Tower Desktop for Office Use

This Dell OptiPlex 7050 Micro desktop arrives new with Windows 11 Pro fully activated. An Intel Core i7-7700T processor at 2.9GHz pairs with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 240GB SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics drives display output for everyday productivity tasks. The compact black chassis includes a USB Wi-Fi adapter for 2.4G and 5G connectivity.

Upgrade From Older SFF or Tower Systems

Replacing a larger legacy tower with this Micro form factor recovers desk space while keeping native 10/100/1000 wired networking. The jump is worthwhile when 16GB of RAM and SSD responsiveness satisfy the workload without discrete graphics. Buyers who need more storage or a second graphics card will find the small chassis limiting.

Limits of the Micro Form Factor

Six USB 2.0 ports provide peripheral connectivity though they do not offer the throughput of newer USB standards. Memory can be expanded to 32GB maximum using DDR4 modules. The integrated graphics and power envelope restrict the machine to general business applications rather than intensive 3D or compute workloads.
