Micro desktop for business users

The OptiPlex 7060 Micro is a compact desktop computer built around an Intel i7 8700T six-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with 12 MB cache. It comes equipped with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe M.2 solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics drive two DisplayPort outputs and a single USB Type-C port. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Display and connectivity limits

Video output is restricted to two DisplayPort connectors and one USB Type-C port; there are no HDMI, VGA or DVI ports. Adapters or special cables are required for older monitors. Wired networking uses Gigabit Ethernet at 10/100/1000 Mbps, while wireless relies on internal 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The system ships with a 65 W AC adapter and includes five USB 3.0 ports.

35 W processor defines thermal envelope

The i7 8700T is a 35 W TDP part, which determines the cooling and power headroom of this Micro form factor. Buyers who need a higher-wattage CPU, discrete graphics or internal expansion slots should look at larger chassis designs.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 256GB NVMe version or a larger drive?

The 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD boots Windows 10 Pro and core apps quickly; add a second M.2 or 2.5" drive later if you need more space for large files.

What does the i7-8700T 2.4 GHz six-core CPU deliver in daily work?

Six cores and twelve threads at 35 W TDP keep multi-tasking smooth — spreadsheets, video calls and light code compiles run without throttling in the micro chassis.

Which display outputs does the Intel UHD 630 graphics support on this unit?

Two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors and one USB-C port with DisplayPort alt-mode drive up to three 4K monitors; no HDMI, VGA or DVI are present.
