Ready-to-use desktop for office and study

This Dell OptiPlex 790 mini tower arrives with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and a USB keyboard and mouse included. The Intel 2nd Gen i5-2400 quad-core processor runs at 3.10 GHz with turbo up to 3.40 GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory and a dual-drive layout of 128 GB SSD plus 1 TB hard drive give quick boot times and ample file space.

Straightforward mini-tower access

The case opens without tools for simple memory or drive changes using standard 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots and 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drive bays. A 265 W power supply limits graphics upgrades to low-profile cards that fit the mini-tower form factor. The supplied USB wireless dongle adds Wi-Fi but occupies one port.

Suited for everyday productivity

Buyers needing a quiet, compact system for web browsing, document work and light multitasking will find the integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 and Gigabit Ethernet adequate. Users who want more storage than 1 TB, dedicated graphics for gaming or creative rendering, or a newer processor architecture should look at other configurations.
