Dell OptiPlex 790 Mini Tower

This desktop computer targets home-office workers and students who need a ready-to-use Windows 10 Pro system. It arrives with a USB keyboard and mouse, integrated audio and Gigabit Ethernet, plus a WiFi USB adapter for wireless connectivity. The Mini Tower chassis fits standard desk spaces without dominating them.

Upgrade from older dual-core or HDD-based PCs

Moving to the Intel Quad-Core i7-2600 at 3.40 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.90 GHz and an 8 GB DDR3 configuration delivers a clear step up in multitasking responsiveness. The 256 GB 2.5-inch SSD replaces mechanical drives, cutting boot and application load times. The jump is worth it when daily workflows involve several browser tabs, office suites and background updates simultaneously.

256 GB SSD capacity and 8 GB DDR3 headroom

The solid-state drive comfortably holds the operating system, core applications and a working set of documents, photos and light media. The 8 GB DDR3 memory handles typical multi-window workloads without paging heavily. Capacity runs out when large video libraries, modern game installs or virtual machines demand more storage, and memory pressure appears with heavy multitasking beyond 8 GB.
