Ultra-small desktop for everyday tasks

The Dell OptiPlex 790 USFF packs a 2nd Gen Intel Core i5-2400 quad-core processor at 3.10 GHz with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 500 GB hard drive. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed alongside a 16X DVD±RW drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 and Gigabit Ethernet handle routine office work and media playback.

Verify monitor and expansion needs

No monitor is included, so confirm you have a display with a compatible video input for the Intel HD Graphics 2000 output. The ultra-small chassis provides PCI and PCI Express x16 slots plus parallel, serial and multiple USB 2.0 ports — check that any add-in cards or legacy peripherals fit the limited internal space and low-profile brackets.

Fits tight workspaces with room to grow

The compact form factor sits easily on a crowded desk while the included keyboard and mouse free up two USB 2.0 ports. Gigabit Ethernet connects directly to wired networks without extra adapters. Available PCI and PCI Express x16 slots allow future upgrades such as a discrete graphics card or additional I/O, and the 500 GB drive can be supplemented with external storage via USB.
