Dell OptiPlex 9010 Mini Tower desktop

This Dell OptiPlex 9010 Mini Tower desktop is built for home office and student use. It ships with an Intel Core i5-3470 quad-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 3.60 GHz turbo boost. The system includes 32 GB of DDR3 memory, a 512 GB 2.5-inch SSD and a 1 TB 3.5-inch hard drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed with a USB keyboard and mouse.

Installation experience and common issues

The mini-tower chassis uses standard Dell tool-less mechanisms for the side panel and drive bays. DDR3 slots are keyed to prevent incorrect insertion. The 2.5-inch SSD fits the dedicated bracket while the 3.5-inch hard drive uses the standard cage. The USB wireless dongle occupies one rear port; ensure a free USB header for the included peripherals.

Pre-order compatibility checklist

Verify that your monitor provides a VGA, DisplayPort or HDMI input matching the graphics outputs on this model. Confirm the 64-bit Windows 10 Pro licence suits your software requirements. Check that the mini-tower dimensions suit your desk space. Ensure you have a free USB port for the wireless dongle if wired Ethernet is not used.
