1U rack server with dual Xeon E5-2603 v3 processors, 16 GB DDR4, three 300 GB 15K SAS drives and an H330 RAID controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60
Installed Memory Size 16GB
HDD 3 x 300GB
The Dell PowerEdge R430 is a 1U rack server built for dual Xeon E5-2603 v3 processors at 1.6 GHz. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory, three 300 GB 15K SAS drives and a Perc H330 RAID controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60. Target users are IT teams needing dense compute for virtualisation or database workloads in a standard rack.
The chassis accepts up to eight 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS or SATA drives and includes a DVD-ROM drive. Two PCIe 3.0 slots are available for expansion cards. A single 550 W redundant power supply is fitted; the second bay is empty for true redundancy. Rails, bezel and empty drive trays are not included, so plan for separate rack-mount hardware.
Verify that your rack provides at least 26.7 inches of depth and 1U height clearance. Confirm the H330 controller matches your existing RAID topology and that 6 Gbps SAS drives suit your performance targets. Ensure DDR4 modules up to 32 GB per DIMM are sourced if you intend to expand beyond the installed 16 GB. Network infrastructure should support four 1 GbE ports and iDRAC8 remote management.
