The Dell PowerEdge R430 is a 1U rack server designed for environments that need compute density without sacrificing expansion headroom. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processor running at 2.3 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory. The platform supports a second processor and up to 384 GB of total memory across twelve DIMM slots for workloads that grow over time.

Chassis and connectivity

A redundant 550 W hot-swap power supply protects uptime while the 1U form factor fits standard racks. Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug drive bays accept SAS or SATA media and connect to a PERC H330 controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Networking is handled by four 1 GbE ports and remote management runs through iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller. Two PCIe 3.0 slots provide room for additional I/O cards.
