A 1U rack server with a ten-core Xeon at 2.3 GHz, 8 GB DDR4, three 600 GB 15 K SAS drives and an H730 RAID controller
Installed Memory Size 8GB
HDD 3 x 600GB 15K
The PowerEdge R430 is a 1U rack server built around a single Xeon E5-2650v3 ten-core processor running at 2.3 GHz with 8 GB of DDR4 memory. Three 600 GB 15 K SAS drives and a Perc H730 RAID controller provide high-speed storage for virtualisation, database or web-tier workloads that demand low latency in a compact form factor.
Verify that your rack can accommodate a 1U unit with front-accessible 2.5-inch hot-plug bays and that your power distribution can supply a 550 W redundant supply. Confirm the H730 controller meets your RAID level requirements and that the four onboard 1 GbE ports satisfy network connectivity needs before ordering.
The chassis uses a hot-plug drive tray design with a DVD-ROM bay and includes a rail kit for tool-less rack mounting. Dual PCIe 3.0 slots allow expansion cards such as additional NICs or HBAs, while iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller provides dedicated remote management over a separate network interface.

Other versions of this model
The server includes one Xeon E5-2650v3 processor, 8GB DDR4, three 600GB 15K SAS drives, the H730 RAID controller, one 550W redundant power supply, DVD drive, power cable and rails. Operating system, additional CPUs, memory, drives and iDRAC Enterprise upgrades are not included.
The system board supports up to two processors. Adding a second E5-2650v3 doubles cores to 20 physical and 40 virtual, and unlocks the remaining six DIMM slots for a total of 384GB DDR4.
Each core runs at 2.3GHz with Hyper-Threading providing 20 threads. The H730 controller at 12Gbps and three 15K SAS drives deliver high IOPS for databases and virtualisation, while four 1GbE ports handle network traffic.
