Precision 5520 mobile workstation for professionals

The Dell Precision 5520 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-7820HQ processor with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB solid-state drive. It uses integrated graphics and targets users who need a portable system for everyday productivity and light content creation. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated workloads should consider other configurations.

Thermals noise and power in typical use

Under normal office workloads the cooling system manages heat from the quad-core processor without excessive fan noise. The integrated graphics solution keeps power draw lower than discrete alternatives, helping battery life during mobile use. Sustained heavy compute tasks will raise temperatures and fan speeds as the thermal solution reaches its limits. The 512 GB SSD contributes minimal heat compared with mechanical drives.
