Precision 5530 UHD touch workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation with a 3840 x 2160 UHD multi-touch IPS display covering 72% colour gamut. It runs on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor at 2.60 GHz with turbo up to 4.30 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 memory and NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics with 4 GB GDDR5. Dual storage combines a 512 GB M.2 drive and a 4 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is installed.

Check ports power and OS needs

Verify your peripherals match the available I/O: two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port, one HDMI 2.0 output and a headphone/microphone combo jack. The system ships with a Dell AC adapter; confirm the connector suits your region. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro upgraded from a Windows 10 Pro licence. Maximum supported memory is 32 GB DDR4 if you plan an upgrade.

Replaces older mobile workstations

This unit replaces earlier Precision or comparable mobile workstations that lack a UHD touch panel, six-core CPU or Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. The jump is worthwhile when you need 4K multi-touch accuracy, dedicated Quadro graphics for ISV-certified apps and the combined 512 GB plus 4 TB SSD capacity in a 15.6-inch chassis. Buyers who need more than 32 GB RAM or a newer GPU generation should look elsewhere.
