DELL Precision 5530 laptop i7-8850H 16GB 256GB 15.6" UHD Touch Quadro P1000

Precision 5530 UHD mobile workstation

This Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor running at 2.60 GHz up to 4.30 GHz with 9 MB cache. It pairs 16 GB of DDR4 memory with a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics card with 4 GB of GDDR5 video memory. The 3840 x 2160 UHD IPS touchscreen covers 72 % colour gamut.

Suited for ISV workloads on the move.

Engineers and designers running certified ISV applications will benefit from the Quadro P1000 and the colour-accurate UHD touch panel in a thin silver chassis. Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0 and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports handle docks and external displays. Buyers who need more graphics memory or higher GPU compute for large datasets or real-time rendering should look at a larger workstation class. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Quadro P1000 with 4 GB GDDR5 decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 equipped with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. It provides professional driver certification for CAD, DCC and visualisation workflows within its memory limit. If your models, textures or compute jobs exceed that 4 GB frame buffer, this configuration will bottleneck performance regardless of the fast CPU or high-resolution display.
