Precision 7510 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7510 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified graphics and a quad-core Intel Core i7-6820HQ running at 2.7 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro already activated, 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. The non-touch display renders at 1920 x 1080 and the NVIDIA Quadro M1000M GPU targets CAD, 3D modelling and ISV-certified applications.

Included accessories and software impact

The 180 W Dell power adapter supports the CPU and discrete GPU under sustained load without throttling. Windows 10 Pro activation is handled through Microsoft, so the operating system is ready for domain join, BitLocker and remote management out of the box. A webcam is integrated for conferencing. No optical drive is fitted, so software installs rely on USB or network sources.

Capacity and headroom

The 16 GB memory and 256 GB SSD handle typical project files, assemblies and textures for mid-range professional workloads. Larger datasets, heavy simulation or multi-application virtual machines will exhaust storage and memory headroom. The Quadro M1000M provides certified driver stability for supported ISV apps but lacks the VRAM and compute throughput for high-end rendering or deep-learning tasks. Buyers needing more local storage or memory capacity should plan upgrades.

Questions about this item

Will the 256GB SSD need replacing if I install large engineering datasets?

The 256GB SSD stores the OS and applications; large datasets can be added via a second internal drive bay or fast external storage, leaving the original drive in place.

Does the Quadro M1000M 2GB VRAM limit viewport performance on complex 3D assemblies?

The M1000M provides 2GB dedicated VRAM; very large assemblies may exceed this and rely on system memory, reducing frame rates during rotation or zoom.

How loud and hot does the 180W adapter and cooling get during all-day rendering?

The 180W adapter powers the i7-6820HQ and M1000M under full load; fans spin up audibly and the chassis warms, but remains within workstation thermal limits.
