Mobile workstation for professional graphics

The Dell Precision 7510 combines a 2.70GHz Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. An NVIDIA Quadro M1000M GPU drives a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 10 Pro is installed.

Sustained workload thermal profile

The Quadro M1000M is certified for professional 3D applications and maintains stable clocks during extended rendering sessions. The 16GB memory capacity supports large assemblies without excessive paging. The 512GB SSD keeps project files local for consistent throughput.

Display and storage interface limits

The 15.6-inch panel is fixed at 1920 x 1080 resolution, so external monitors are required for higher pixel densities. The 512GB SSD capacity may require supplementary drives for extensive asset libraries. The 16GB memory is soldered or limited to two slots, restricting future expansion.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Precision 7510 get when the i7-6820HQ and Quadro M1000M run all day?

The 15.6 inch chassis uses a dual-fan layout that keeps the i7-6820HQ and Quadro M1000M within thermal limits during extended workloads; fan noise rises under sustained load but remains at a typical workstation level.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use this Precision 7510 out of the box?

The unit ships with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro installed, so only the AC adapter is required to start working.

Will my older USB-A dock and external 1080p monitor work with the Precision 7510 without adapters?

Yes, the laptop includes full-size USB-A ports and an HDMI output that drive a 1920 x 1080 external display and legacy docks directly.
