Genuine Dell OEM replacement cable

This genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable replaces the LCD video connection in Precision 7550 laptops equipped with a 15.6 inch touchscreen and optional infrared camera. It carries the Dell part number XCT4N and matches the factory routing exactly. Installers receive the identical component shown in the product imagery.

Signal integrity under daily hinge movement

The flat flexible design maintains stable video and IR camera signals while the display opens and closes throughout the working day. Conductors are rated for repeated flex cycles without degradation. No active electronics are present, so thermal throttling or signal boost behaviour does not apply.

Precision fit for touchscreen and IR models

The cable terminates in the correct high-density connectors for both the touchscreen digitiser and the IR camera module on supported Precision 7550 units. Mounting tabs align with the original chassis retention points for a secure, rattle-free installation. This part is not compatible with non-touch or non-IR configurations.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6" ribbon cable draw extra power or generate heat when the Precision 7550 runs all day?

The cable is a passive video interconnect with no active electronics, so it adds no measurable power draw or heat to the system.

What must the laptop already have for this XCT4N cable to function?

The Precision 7550 must be equipped with the 15.6" touchscreen LCD panel and the optional infrared IR camera module.

Will this replacement cable fit a Precision 7550 that currently uses a non-touch display?

No, the XCT4N part is keyed for the touchscreen and IR camera combination and will not connect to a standard non-touch panel.
