Precision 7550 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7550 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an eight-core Intel Core i9-10885H processor with a 5.30 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of memory, a 1 TB SSD and a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics card driving a 1920 x 1080 non-touch FHD panel. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for ISV-certified workflows

Engineers and analysts running certified CAD, CAE or simulation workloads that rely on Quadro drivers will find the T2000 and eight-core CPU a stable combination. Buyers who need a larger colour-critical display, a touchscreen, an integrated webcam or more than 32 GB of memory should look at alternative configurations.

Quadro T2000 dedicated graphics

The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 is the specification that determines suitability for professional 3D applications. It provides certified drivers for major ISV titles and dedicated video memory for model manipulation. Verify that your software stack is qualified for this GPU before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1TB SSD in the Precision 7550, and what step is often missed?

The 1TB SSD fits into the internal M.2 slot after removing the base cover; the step often missed is reseating the battery connector before the first boot.

What maintenance will the Quadro T2000 graphics need over time?

The Quadro T2000 relies on the shared vapour-chamber cooler; cleaning the intake vents every six months keeps thermals stable under sustained loads.

Which limit appears first when the i9-10885H runs at 5.3 GHz for long periods?

The 45 W package-power ceiling throttles the eight-core CPU before the 5.3 GHz turbo can be maintained across all cores.
