Precision 7670 workstation for mobile professionals

The Dell Precision 7670 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an i7-12850HX processor, 32GB of memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and a non-touch 1920 x 1080 display. The unit is new but graded B, so the chassis shows visible scratches and scuffs from normal use while the battery tests good.

Thermals noise and power in daily workflows

Under typical office and engineering loads the cooling system keeps the i7-12850HX at stable clocks without aggressive fan ramping, so acoustic output stays low in quiet rooms. Power draw scales with workload, and the included charger supplies enough headroom for sustained performance without throttling.

Charger and Windows 11 Pro ready to deploy

The package contains only the laptop and its power adapter, so no docking station, stylus or external media are bundled. Windows 11 Pro is pre-activated and configured for domain join, BitLocker and remote management, letting IT teams enroll the device immediately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the i7-12850HX processor into the Precision 7670 motherboard?

The i7-12850HX is soldered directly to the motherboard and cannot be removed or installed by the user; the laptop ships with the processor already mounted.

What maintenance or replacement will the 512GB SSD need later?

The 512GB SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if the drive fails or you need more capacity.

What limit shows up first on the 15.6" 1920 x 1080 display during sustained use?

The non-touch 15.6" panel is fixed at 1920 x 1080 resolution, so the pixel count and refresh rate are the hard limits you will encounter first.
