Precision 7670 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7670 is a 16-inch mobile workstation built for engineers and creators who need certified application stability. It pairs a 16-core Intel Core i7-12850HX processor with 64 GB of DDR5 4800 CAMM memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. An Nvidia RTX A3000 GPU with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory handles 3D rendering and simulation workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for ISV-certified workflows.

This laptop suits professionals running CAD, CAE or media-production software that benefits from ISV certification and error-correcting memory architecture. The 93 Wh battery and 240 W adapter support extended sessions away from a desk. Buyers who prioritise a sub-2 kg chassis or touchscreen input should look at lighter ultraportables or convertible models instead.

RTX A3000 16 GB GDDR6 decides fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the Nvidia RTX A3000 with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory. That capacity determines whether large assemblies, high-resolution textures or GPU-accelerated compute datasets fit in local VRAM without paging to system memory. If project assets regularly exceed that buffer, a workstation with a higher VRAM ceiling is required.

What does the 16 GB GDDR6 on the RTX A3000 actually deliver in daily use?

The 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory lets the RTX A3000 hold large 3D models, high-resolution textures and GPU-accelerated compute datasets without swapping to system RAM.

What does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DP-alt mode support in practice?

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port carries DisplayPort video for external monitors and handles data transfers at Gen 2 speeds.
