Mobile workstation for professionals

The Dell Precision 7670 combines a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12850HX processor with 16 cores and 24 threads with an NVIDIA RTX A3000 GPU featuring 12GB GDDR6 memory. It targets engineers, designers and analysts who need certified application performance in a 16.0-inch form factor running Windows 11 Pro.

Backpack adds protected transport

The included Velztorm 1680D polyester backpack supplies water-resistant storage and durable zippers for the laptop and accessories. This bundle removes the need to source a separate carrying case for daily commutes or site visits.

64GB DDR5 4800MHz soldered memory

The system ships with 64GB of onboard DDR5 memory operating at 4800MHz. This capacity cannot be upgraded later, so buyers who anticipate larger datasets or virtual-machine workloads must confirm the amount is sufficient before purchase.

Questions about this item

Can the DDR5 memory be upgraded later?

The 64GB DDR5 is on-board and not user-upgradable, so no memory maintenance is expected.

What limits performance during long renders?

Sustained loads are capped by the 240W power adapter and the 60Hz 16.0" display refresh rate.

How loud and hot does it get running all day?

The 92WHr battery and 240W supply feed the i7-12850HX and RTX A3000; fan noise and surface heat rise under continuous load.
