Mobile workstation for certified workflows

The Dell Precision 7760 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Xeon W-10855M six-core processor and an NVIDIA RTX A3000 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 64GB RAM and a 1TB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The 4K UHD display resolves 3840 x 2160 pixels for detailed visual work.

Thermal behaviour under load

Sustained workloads engage the six cores up to a 4.90 GHz turbo frequency while the dedicated RTX A3000 handles GPU compute. The chassis measures 1.02 inch at the front and 1.13 inch at the rear, providing volume for airflow during extended rendering or simulation sessions. The system weight starts at 6.65 lbs.

Setup checks before ordering

Verify that your external monitors accept Mini DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 inputs to match the available video outputs. Confirm that your peripherals use USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Thunderbolt 4.0 or the SD card slot for connectivity. The fingerprint reader and RJ-45 port are integrated for security and wired networking.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Xeon W-10855M and RTX A3000 run during sustained 4K workloads?

The six-core Xeon W-10855M reaches 4.9 GHz turbo while the RTX A3000 provides dedicated graphics; the 17.3 inch chassis uses front and rear vents to move heat away from both components during long sessions.

Which cables and peripherals must I already own to use every port on day one?

You will need a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 cable, an HDMI 2.1 cable, USB-C Thunderbolt 4 cables, USB-A 3.2 cables, an RJ-45 Ethernet cable, an SD card and a headphone plug to connect all built-in interfaces.

Will the Thunderbolt 4 ports drive my older Thunderbolt 3 dock and USB-C monitor without adapters?

The two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports are backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C devices, so existing docks and monitors connect directly.
