Professional workstation for demanding applications

The Dell Precision T5820 Tower is built for professionals who need reliable performance with an Intel Xeon W-2145 8-core processor running at 3.7GHz with 4.5GHz turbo. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 2666MHz registered ECC memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Memory capacity and graphics headroom

The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory across two slots with eight total slots supporting up to 256GB maximum capacity. The NVIDIA Quadro P2000 provides 5GB of GDDR5 memory on a 160-bit interface with four DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups. The 1TB NVMe drive offers fast storage for active projects and applications.

Interface and power delivery limits

The LGA 2066 socket supports the installed Xeon W-2145 processor within the platform's thermal and electrical design. A 950-watt 80 Plus Gold power supply rated at 90% efficiency delivers stable power to all components. Integrated Intel i219 gigabit Ethernet and Realtek ALC3234 audio handle wired networking and sound without additional cards.

Questions about this item

Will the Xeon W-2145 3.7GHz 8-core processor and 950W power supply handle my existing LGA 2066 components?

The LGA 2066 socket matches the installed Xeon W-2145, and the 950W 80 Plus Gold unit provides ample headroom for additional PCIe cards or drives you keep.

How do I confirm the Quadro P2000 is running at full 5GB GDDR5 capacity after installing Windows 11 Pro?

Open NVIDIA Control Panel or GPU-Z; both will report 5GB GDDR5 on a 160-bit bus and list the four DisplayPort outputs as active.

Does the box include the 16GB DDR4 2666 ECC modules and 1TB NVMe drive, or must I buy them separately?

Both are pre-installed: two 8GB DDR4 2666 registered ECC DIMMs and one 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD ship inside the tower.
