DELL Precision T5820 Tower Xeon W-2225 4.1GHz 128GB DDR4 500GB NVMe Quadro P2000 Win 11 Pro

Professional Workstation Configuration

The Dell Precision 5820 Tower is a mid-tower desktop built around an Intel Xeon W-2225 processor running at 4.1 GHz with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2666 registered ECC memory in a four-module layout and a 500 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. An Nvidia Quadro P2000 graphics card with 5 GB GDDR5 and four DisplayPort outputs drives multiple displays, while Windows 11 Pro provides the operating environment.

Suited For And Not Suited For

This system suits engineers, analysts and content creators who need ECC memory stability and certified professional graphics for CAD, simulation or multi-monitor workflows. The four-core Xeon and single Quadro P2000 limit throughput for heavily threaded rendering, large-scale compute clusters or modern real-time ray-tracing pipelines. Buyers who require more than 128 GB of installed memory or dual-GPU scaling should evaluate other configurations.

Deciding Specification

The 128 GB DDR4 2666 registered ECC capacity is the specification that determines fit. With eight total slots and a 256 GB ceiling, the current 4 x 32 GB population leaves room for expansion, but only with matching registered ECC modules. Systems that demand consumer UDIMM memory or speeds above 2666 MHz cannot use this platform.
