DELL Precision T7810 Workstation Xeon E5-2650 v3 10C 2.3GHz 16GB DDR4 500GB SATA NVS 310 desktop PC

Precision T7810 Tower Workstation

The Dell Precision T7810 is a tower workstation built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 processor with ten cores running at 2.3 GHz and Hyperthreading for twenty threads. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 2133 ECC memory, a 500 GB 7.2K RPM SATA hard drive and an Nvidia NVS 310 graphics card with 512 MB. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed and a 685 W power supply feeds the system.

Suited for CPU-heavy tasks not GPU-heavy ones

This workstation suits users who need many CPU threads for compilation, virtualization or scientific calculation and who are satisfied with entry-level display output from the NVS 310. Buyers who need a modern GPU for 3D rendering, compute workloads or multiple high-resolution displays should consider other options. The single-processor configuration also limits maximum memory to 256 GB across eight DIMM slots.

Single Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processor

The defining specification is the single Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processor operating at 2.3 GHz with Hyperthreading. It delivers twenty logical threads and fits the LGA 2011-3 socket on the Intel C612 chipset. This CPU choice sets the platform memory ceiling at 256 GB of DDR4 2133 ECC RDIMM and determines the workstation's multi-threaded performance envelope.
