Mobile workstation with ten-core processor

The DELL Pro PC16250 is a 16-inch laptop built around an Intel Core 5 120U ten-core processor running at 1.40GHz with a 5.00GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB solid-state drive under Windows 11 Pro. The 16.0-inch WUXGA panel delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution on a non-touch TN display suited for office workflows and mobile professionals.

Integrated graphics thermals and power

Integrated Intel Graphics share system memory and keep thermal output modest during typical productivity tasks such as document editing, web browsing and video conferencing. The 10-core processor scales frequency up to 5.00GHz under load while the chassis dissipates heat without a discrete GPU adding extra power draw. Fan noise stays low during light workloads and rises only when sustained multi-core activity pushes the 12MB smart cache and all ten cores.

Connectivity and expansion for a single-device setup

Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Type-C ports (one with DisplayPort output), HDMI and a wired Ethernet jack cover monitors, docks and peripherals without dongles. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless links while the backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and HD webcam support long typing sessions and calls. At 4.3 lbs and 0.82 inches thick the unit fits in a standard 16-inch sleeve, leaving desk space free for external drives or a second display.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 64GB DDR5 memory upgrade in the Dell Pro 16250 without damaging the clips?

Power off, remove the base screws, lift the cover, align the DDR5 module notch with the slot key, press firmly until both side clips snap shut, then replace the cover before booting.

Which component will need replacement first under daily use — the 512GB SSD or the integrated Intel Graphics?

The 512GB solid-state drive has a finite write endurance; the integrated Intel Graphics has no moving parts and typically outlasts the storage.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel Core 5 120U runs at 5.00GHz turbo across all 10 cores?

The processor will hit its package power limit and throttle clocks before the cooling system reaches its maximum fan speed.
