Tower desktop for creators and gamers

The Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 ships as a complete Windows 11 Pro workstation with a 15th Gen Ultra 7-265 processor, 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It targets users who need strong single-thread speed and modern GPU features in a standard tower chassis.

12 GB GDDR7 VRAM on the RTX 5070

The graphics card provides 12 GB of GDDR7 video memory connected through a PCI Express x16 slot. That VRAM capacity is the decisive figure for 4K gaming, VR titles and GPU-accelerated creative workloads; less memory would force texture compression or lower resolutions.

128 GB NVMe boot drive plus 1 TB hard drive

The 128 GB PCIe NVMe SSD holds the operating system and active project files for fast launches, while the 1 TB mechanical drive stores larger media libraries and backups. The small SSD will fill quickly with modern game installs or video projects, so plan to add secondary solid-state storage for those workloads.

Questions about this item

What does the Ultra 7-265's 5.3 GHz boost clock mean once the PC is under load?

The 15th Gen Ultra 7-265 can reach 5.3 GHz on its 8 performance cores when thermal headroom allows, giving short bursts of high single-thread speed for gaming or creative tasks before settling at sustained speeds.

How does the PCI Express x16 slot and Thunderbolt 4 port limit the RTX 5070 and external devices in practice?

The RTX 5070 runs on a PCI Express x16 link for full GPU bandwidth, while Thunderbolt 4 provides up to 40 Gbps for external storage or docks, sharing the CPU's I/O lanes.

Will the 14.7 in wide by 17.50 in deep tower fit on my desk with the 750W PSU and front-panel ports?

The chassis measures 14.7 inches wide, 17.50 inches deep and 7 inches high, so allow at least that footprint plus rear clearance for the 750W PSU cables, 2 HDMI, 3 DisplayPort and USB connectors.
