Mobile workstation Core Ultra 9 285H

The Dell Pro Max Premium 14 is a 14 inch mobile workstation built around the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor with 16 cores and a 5.40 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB M.2 SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The NPU delivers 13 TOPS for local AI workloads.

Dedicated RTX PRO 2000 graphics 8 GB

An NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory handles professional visualization and compute tasks independently of system memory. The 1920 x 1200 anti-glare display covers 100% sRGB at 400 nits brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and a fingerprint reader support secure remote access.

Sustained load thermal balance

The aluminum and magnesium chassis houses the cooling solution for the 16-core CPU and dedicated GPU during extended render or simulation sessions. ExpressCharge and ExpressCharge Boost replenish the battery between workloads. Energy Star, EPEAT Gold and TCO certifications confirm the thermal design meets efficiency targets without throttling the 13 TOPS NPU or RTX graphics.

Questions about this item

Does the 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H throttle under sustained heavy workloads?

The processor reaches a 5.40 GHz turbo frequency, but sustained performance will depend on the laptop's thermal design and workload intensity.

How loud or hot does the RTX PRO 2000 with 8 GB GDDR7 get during all-day rendering?

The dedicated GPU and 16-core CPU share a compact 14-inch chassis; expect noticeable fan noise and surface heat under continuous load.

What memory or storage upgrades are possible since the 32 GB LPDDR5X is on-board?

The 32 GB LPDDR5X is soldered and not upgradeable; the 1 TB M.2 SSD can be replaced with a larger drive if needed.
