2700 W server power supply for PowerEdge M1000E

This Dell W31V2 unit delivers 2700 W of redundant power to a PowerEdge M1000E blade enclosure. It slots directly into the chassis and shares the load with other supplies for high-availability operation. The module is sold refurbished and weighs 5.1 kg. Part number W31V2 identifies the exact replacement.

Fits M1000E bays only; not for standalone servers

Buyers who need a power supply for a different Dell enclosure or a rack-mount server cannot use this module. It lacks the connectors and form factor required outside the M1000E chassis. Administrators seeking a new, unused unit should look elsewhere because this stock is refurbished.

Questions about this item

Will the W31V2 need its internal fan replaced after extended use in a PowerEdge M1000E?

The W31V2 uses internal cooling fans rated for continuous server operation; Dell recommends inspecting fan health during routine chassis maintenance and replacing any unit that shows bearing noise or reduced airflow.

What limits sustained output first when the W31V2 runs near its 2700 W rating in a fully populated M1000E?

Thermal protection engages before electrical limits; the supply will throttle or shut down if inlet air exceeds the chassis specification or if multiple modules share restricted airflow.
