305W PSU for Optiplex GX745 MT

The Dell Xk215 is a 305 watt power supply built for the Optiplex GX745 mini-tower. It delivers the exact voltage rails that chassis expects. Offices refreshing legacy desktops or IT teams keeping spare units on hand will find it a direct fit.

Replaces a failed or ageing original unit

Swapping in this supply restores stable power when the factory unit fails or shows voltage drift. The jump is worth it when the system randomly shuts down, fails to POST or shows capacitor bulge. Builders needing higher wattage for add-in cards or a different form factor cannot use this model.

Questions about this item

Will the Xk215 305W unit fit the Optiplex GX745 MT chassis?

The Xk215 is built for the Optiplex GX745 MT and matches its 305W power requirement, so it aligns with the standard mounting points and connector layout of that tower case.

What is the installation step people often miss when swapping in the Xk215?

After sliding the Xk215 into the GX745 MT bay and securing the retention screws, reconnect the main 24-pin motherboard cable and the 4-pin CPU power cable; forgetting the CPU power lead is the most common reason the system will not POST.
