Compact Hardwood Desk for Small Workspaces

The Desky Zero Mini Hardwood Desk is a fixed-height desk measuring 40 x 24 in with a White Ash surface and Space Gray steel frame. It is built from sustainably sourced solid hardwood sealed with a protective polyurethane coating. The robust steel frame supports up to 140kg and maintains a consistent 27.5 inch working height. Tool-free assembly allows quick setup in apartments, dorm rooms, or compact home offices.

Suits Fixed-Height Users; Not for Sit-Stand Needs

This desk suits buyers who want a stable, non-adjustable surface at a set 27.5 inch height for monitors, laptops, and office essentials up to 308.6 pounds. It is not for users who need sit-stand height adjustment, electric or manual lift mechanisms, or the ability to change working height during the day. Buyers requiring a larger surface area for multi-monitor arrays or extensive paperwork should look at wider models.

Check Space, Height, and Assembly Preference

Verify that a 40 x 24 in footprint fits your available floor area with room for a chair and movement. Confirm the fixed 27.5 inch height matches your ergonomic requirements for seated work, as it cannot be altered. Ensure you are comfortable with a high-gloss hardwood finish that shows fingerprints and light differently than matte surfaces. The tool-free design means no driver or wrench is needed, but confirm the frame color option matches your Space Gray preference.

Questions about this item

What minimum floor space must I keep clear for the 40 x 24 in desk footprint?

Allow at least 40 inches wide by 24 inches deep of clear floor area so the fixed-height frame can sit level without obstruction.

Will my existing monitor arm clamp onto the solid hardwood top and grommets?

The 40 x 24 in hardwood surface accepts standard C-clamps, and the pre-cut grommets provide cable routing for monitor-arm installations.

How do I confirm the desk is assembled correctly and stable at 27.5 in height?

After tool-free assembly, measure the worksurface height — it should read 27.5 inches — then press firmly on each corner; there should be no wobble up to the 140 kg load rating.
