What this adapter does

The DESOFICON F-JY-003-AX is a Lightning to dual Lightning splitter that adds a charging port and an audio port to iPhone models from the 6 through the 12 series. It carries Apple MFi certification and supports calls, music control and 24-bit 48 kHz lossless output. The 0.5 m cable is made from ABS plastic and weighs 0.022046227 lb.

Who this suits and who it does not

It suits iPhone owners who want to charge and listen through wired headphones at the same time. It does not suit buyers who need to connect two headphones or two cables simultaneously, nor users whose devices lack a Lightning connector. The adapter works with all iOS versions listed by the supplier.

The specification that decides fit

The single deciding specification is the Lightning connector on both the host side and the two female ports. If your device uses a different port, this adapter will not work.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single adapter or the two-pack for daily use?

The listing is for one white adapter measuring 6.4 in x 4.2 in x 0.2 in and weighing .022046227 lb, so order two if you want a spare.

What does the 24bit 48kHz rating mean when I plug headphones in?

Does the Lightning connector limit charging speed or audio quality?

The MFi-certified Lightning plug carries both charging current and digital audio, capped by the iPhone's own power and DAC limits.
