Product Identity

DEVCON 11340 is an epoxy-based primer from the DFense Blok series supplied in a 1 lb jar. It prepares surfaces for epoxy adhesives and promotes adhesion across industrial maintenance and assembly tasks.

Working Window and Safety

The gel viscosity primer applies between 55 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and offers a 45 minute on-part life before curing to an orange finish. Flash point exceeds 200 degrees Fahrenheit and VOC content is zero grams per litre.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Specific gravity of 1.01 indicates consistent material density during extended application sessions. The epoxy base maintains stable viscosity without methylene chloride, supporting repeatable surface preparation over long production runs.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the primer and what timing mistake should I avoid?

Apply the gel-consistency primer to surfaces between 55 and 90 degrees F. The on-part life is 45 minutes, so bond the epoxy adhesive before that window closes.

Will the primer itself need any replenishment or special storage after opening?

The product contains no methylene chloride and has 0 g/L VOC content. Keep the jar sealed when not in use; no further maintenance is required for the primer itself.

At what temperature does the primer become unsafe to use during prolonged work?

The flash point is greater than 200 degrees F. Stay well below that temperature during sustained application.
